Insurance?
We Do not file or bill Insurance.
Some private insurance plans have a "pastoral care/counseling",
"wellness" or "prevention" benefit Re-imbursement plan for our
service and labs and you should contact your carrier for that
information. We can provide you with the receipt and CPT
codes so you can file for reimbursement..
Why don't we accept insurance?
A. Due to the fact that Naturopathic Healthcare is up to 90% below
the costs of Conventional Healthcare & Insurance companies are
time consuming & many times not in the best interest of private
practices or patients, we have chosen to not accept Insurance at
this time, except of employee insurance
that has the Visa or Mastercard Logo on the Card.
We accept Credit Cards Payments In the Office, Over the phone or through
Paypal prepaid
invoiced.
B. With Insurance you are required to make a Co-pay of
20%(Insurance pays up to 80%). Your Cost of Healthcare would be
more out of pocket if we billed the Retail price for
Comprehensive Labs & general practice, which are billed up to
1200.00 or more, depending on the particular Lab. Your Co-pay
would be 240.00 or more after insurance pays versus Cash Payment
of 95.00 for General Family Life Health Assessment or 180.00
that includes the Comprehensive Wellness Assessment(over 50 lab
tests). Thats up to 85% off.
1. So Calculate your
extremely overpriced insurance monthly premius plus your co-pay
& you'll bless us for being here to offer you the best cutting
edge affordable Healthcare service that actually WORKS!
2. With Naturopathic Medicine, you
don't need Health Insurance, except perhaps to cover Hospital
visits, Surgery or Emergencies. Naturopathic and Holistic
Healthcare would reduce those needs significantly. That is, if
you choose a qualified, dedicated, well trained & skilled
Integrative Naturopathic Pastoral Physician & practice that can
address all of your healthcare needs.
3. the old saying, an ounce of prevention is
better than a pound of cure. We are the ounce(a lesser burden),
your insurance company is the pound(a bigger burden and still no
cure)

Fibrinogen - An important
contributor to blood clotting, fibrinogen levels increase in
response to tissue inflammation. Since atherosclerosis and
heart disease are essentially inflammatory processes,
increased fibrinogen levels can help predict the risk of
heart disease and stroke. High fibrinogen levels not only
are associated with an increased risk of heart attack, but
also are seen in other inflammatory disorders such as
rheumatoid arthritis and inflammation of the kidney.
C-Reactive Protein (CRP) -
C-Reactive protein is a substance in the blood that
indicates the presence of inflammation and could warn of a
heart attack in advance. Elevated amounts of the protein in
men may triple their risk for heart attack and double their
risk for stroke, whereas elevated amounts in women can
increase their heart attack risk up to seven times. Cardio
(also specific or high sensitivity) C-Reactive Protein is a
marker of inflammation to the blood vessels and a strong
predictor of risk for future myocardial infarctions.
Cardiovascular tests ordered vary based on patient symptoms
as well as family history.
Homocysteine - The amino acid,
Homocysteine, plays a role in destroying the lining of your
artery walls, promoting the formation of blood clots, and
also accelerates the buildup of scar tissue. High levels may
increase the chance of heart disease and stroke, especially
if you have other risk factors such as diabetes, high blood
pressure, obesity, smoking, or family history.
Hemoglobin A1C - One of the best
ways to assess your glucose status is testing for hemoglobin
A1C (HbA1c). It measures a person’s blood sugar over the
last two to three months and is an independent predictor of
heart disease risk in persons with or without diabetes.
Maintaining a healthy hemoglobin A1C level may also help
those with diabetes prevent some of the complications of the
disease.
DHEA,s - Dehydroepiandrosterone
(DHEA) is a hormone produced by the adrenal glands, and is a
precursor to the sex hormones estrogen and testosterone.
DHEA levels peak in one’s twenties and then decline
dramatically with age. DHEA is frequently referred to as an
“anti-aging” hormone. DHEAS and several other androgens are
used to evaluate adrenal function and to distinguish between
androgen secreting adrenal conditions from those that
originate in the ovary or testes. DHEAS can be measured to
help diagnose adrenocortical tumors (tumor in the cortex of
the adrenal gland), adrenal cancers, and adrenal hyperplasia
(which may be congenital or adult onset) and to separate
them from ovarian tumors and cancers.
Testosterone, Total & Free -
Testosterone is produced in the testes in men, in the
ovaries in women, and in the adrenal glands of both men and
women. Men and women alike can be dramatically affected by
the decline in testosterone levels that occurs with aging.
Unlike bound testosterone, the free form of the hormone can
circulate in the brain and affect nerve cells. Testosterone
plays different roles in men and women, including the
regulation of fertility, libido, and muscle mass. In men,
free testosterone levels may be used to evaluate whether
sufficient bioactive testosterone is available to protect
against abdominal obesity, mental depression, osteoporosis,
and heart disease. In women, low levels of testosterone have
been associated with decreased libido and well-being, while
high levels of free testosterone may indicate hirsuitism (a
condition of excessive hair growth on the face and chest) or
polycystic ovarian syndrome. Increased testosterone in women
may also indicate low estrogen levels.
Urinalysis, complete - Over 15
different items, this panel is useful in the evaluation of
conditions such as urinary tract infection, dehydration, and
kidney stones.
Estradiol - Both men and women need
estrogen for physiological functions. Estradiol is the
primary circulating form of estrogen in men and women, and
is an indicator of hypothalamic and pituitary function. Men
produce estradiol in smaller amounts than do women; most
estradiol is produced from testosterone and adrenal steroid
hormones, and some is produced directly by the testes. In
women, estradiol is produced in the ovaries, adrenal glands,
and peripheral tissues. Levels of estradiol vary throughout
the menstrual cycle, and drop to low, constant levels after
menopause. In women, blood estradiol levels help evaluate
menopausal status and sexual maturity. Increased levels in
women may indicate an increased risk for breast or
endometrial cancer. Estradiol plays a role in support of
healthy bone density in both men and women. Low levels are
associated with an increased risk of osteoporosis and bone
fracture as well. Elevated levels of estradiol in men may
accompany gynecomastia (breast enlargement), diminished sex
drive, and difficulty with urination.

The theory is that cancer causes more of the protein to be
made and leaked into the blood than normal prostate tissue,

Glucose (Diabetes)
Mineral and Bone
Urinalysis: Over 15 different items, this panel is useful in
the evaluation of conditions such as urinary tract
infection, dehydration, and kidney stones.
40-Amino Acid Panel(Plasma): Referred to as the "building
blocks of life, Amino Acids make up proteins in every tissue
of the body, and contribute to the formation of hormones,
immunoglobulins, hemoglobin, collagen, muscles,
neurotransmitters, enzymes, antibodies, and receptors and
are involved in cellular energy production. They play a
major role in nearly every chemical process that affects
physical and mental function. Amino Acid deficiencies may
manifest as fatigue, allergic sensitivity, arthritis,
digestive disorder, cognitive function, cardiovascular
health, athletic performance, and neurologic imbalance.
Organic Acid Analysis: Urinary organic acid analysis of
metabolic compounds, used in fundamental metabolic processes
of the body, have proven useful in detecting nutrient
deficiencies that precede acute functional impairment.
Elevations of Methlymalonic acid and Homocysteine reflect
B12 and folic acid insufficiencies.
Health Risk Assessment Report: The individual risk
assessment is a guide to identify those behaviors that put
you at risk for accidents or illness that if modified can
increase the probability for a longer and healthier life. It
provides measurable actionable information based on
medically valid precursors—weight, tobacco use, or diet for
example—and statistically valid scoring algorithms.
CellMate Report: Easy to read, extensive interpretations of
the Comprehensive Wellness Profile (Comprehensive Wellness
Profile) blood test results.
(*fasting required)
Pregnancy/Prenatal profile including complete assessment,
counseling and maternity wellness program: very useful for
those seeking natural birth outside hospital setting with no

HIV: This test uses recombinant
antigen sources and detects antibodies by specific immune
binding and subsequent chemiluminescent reaction (ICMA
technology). Sensitivity and specificity of this assay are
100% and 99.9% respectively. Sera which are repeatedly
reactive in two out of three tests are subject to
confirmatory HIV-1 testing by the Western blot method. Some
individuals may be initially reactive by the preliminary
test and negative or indeterminate by Western blot. This may
be caused by other viral antibodies or autoantibodies which
cross react with the viral antigens although this is rare.
Hep B Ag: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is
a DNA virus with a protein coat, the surface antigen (HBsAg)
and a nucleic acid core, the core antigen (HBcAg). There are
eight different serotypes. Early in infection, HBsAg, HBV
DNA, and DNA polymerase can all be detected in serum.
HBsAg can be detected 1-7 weeks before liver enzyme
elevation or the appearance of clinical symptoms. Three
weeks after the onset of acute hepatitis, about 50% of
patients will still be positive for HBsAg, while at 17 weeks
only 10% are positive. The best available markers for
infectivity are HBsAg and HBeAg. The presence of anti-HBs is
frequently associated with noninfectivity. The chronic
carrier state is indicated by the persistence of HBsAg
and/or HBeAg over long periods (6 months to years) without
seroconversion to the corresponding antibodies. Such a
condition has the potential to lead to serious liver damage,
but may be an isolated asymptomatic serologic phenomenon.
Persistence of HBsAg, without anti-HBs, with combinations of
positivity of anti-HBc, HBeAg, or anti-HBe indicates
infectivity and need for investigation for chronic
persistent or chronic aggressive hepatitis.
ABO&Rh: The ABO typing process has
two steps: Initially, your blood is mixed with anti-A serum
(serum that contains antibodies against type A blood), then
with anti-B serum (serum that contains antibodies against
type B blood). A determination of the blood type is based on
whether or not the blood clots in the presence of these
serums. The second step involves placing your serum (the
liquid portion of the blood without the cells) with blood
that is known to be type A and type B (AB). With the results
of these two tests, your blood type can be determined
accurately. Rh typing is similar to ABO typing. Here, your
blood is mixed with serum containing anti-Rh antibodies and
then observed. If agglutination occurs, then you have
Rh-positive blood. If no reaction occurs, then the blood is
Rh-negative. Blood type knowledge can be personally useful
when you are considering giving blood. While blood donations
of all kinds are always welcome, sometimes blood banks have
a shortage of a specific blood type. Knowing your blood
type, you'll be able to respond to these important appeals.
Rubella Titer: Rubella virus is the
cause of German measles, usually a mild exanthem, often
subclinical. However, when acquired in utero, rubella virus
can cause the congenital rubella syndrome, and lead to fetal
demise, malformation, deafness, and mental retardation. For
this reason the federal government and many states support
programs to immunize women against rubella before they have
children. There has been a resurgence of congenital rubella
in the early 1990s and more widespread testing for rubella
serology is recommended.
U/A Culture: A single culture is
about 80% accurate in the female; two containing the same
organism with a count of 105 or more represent 95% chance of
true bacteriuria; three such specimens mean virtual
certainty of true bacteriuria. Urinary tract infection is
significantly higher in women who use diaphragm-spermicide
contraception, perhaps secondary to increased vaginal pH and
a higher frequency of vaginal colonization with E. coli.1 A
single clean voided specimen from an adult male may be
considered diagnostic with proper preparation and care in
specimen collection. If the patient is receiving
antimicrobial therapy at the time the specimen is collected,
any level of bacteriuria may be significant. When more than
two organisms are recovered, the likelihood of contamination
is high; thus, the significance of definitive identification
of the organisms and susceptibility testing in this
situation is severely limited. A repeat culture with proper
specimen collection including patient preparation is often
indicated. Periodic evaluation of diabetics and pregnant
women for asymptomatic bacteriuria has been recommended.2
Institutionalized patients, especially elderly individuals,
are prone to urinary tract infections, which can be severe.3
Cultures of specimens from Foley catheters yielding multiple
organisms with high colony counts usually represents
colonization of the catheter and not true significant
bacteriuria. Most laboratories limit the number of organisms
that will be identified when recovered from urine to two.
Similarly, most do not routinely perform susceptibility
tests on isolates from presumably contaminated specimens.
Failure to recover aerobic organisms from patients with
pyuria or positive Gram stains of urinary sediment may
indicate the presence of mycobacteria or anaerobes.
RPR: The test is looking for
evidence of Treponema pallidum, the bacterium that causes
syphilis. Syphilis is a common sexually transmitted disease.
It is easily treated but can cause severe health problems if
left untreated.
Different foods break down at different speeds, causing
different toxic reactions depending on your personal body
chemistry. Find out which foods are toxic to your particular
system to help you be healthier and more energetic than ever
before. TYPE II reactions are not immediate, making them
almost impossible to detect without sophisticated testing.

Pediatric ION Profile
The Pediatric ION™ Profile is Helpful in Cases of: Obesity –
Many obese persons have multiple nutritional deficiencies.
Dietary improvement and nutritional supplementation based on
ION test results help many achieve more active metabolism.
In the process, they are able to eliminate excess fat and
fluid.
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome – This enigmatic disorder frequently
involves mitochondrial inefficiencies (deficits in cellular
energy production) that can be revealed by comparing the
organic acids, amino acids and minerals test results.
Cancer – Malnutrition/cachexia is usually an exacerbating
factor. Overall nutritional testing helps determine the
degree of supplementation needed. Immune Disorders –
Deficiencies in a wide variety of nutrients, from amino
acids to fatty acids to zinc, are seen in immune
dysfunction.
Developmental Delay, Autism, Down’s Syndrome – Increasing
numbers of children are experiencing dramatic improvements
in development and achievement due to supplementation based
on ION test results. Mental/Emotional Disorders – The
biochemical imbalances underlying these conditions can be
elucidated by testing for organic acids, amino acids,
minerals and fatty acids. Learning & Behavioral Disorders
– As might be expected, neurotransmitter precursors and
their metabolites are often deranged in disorders such as
ADHD. Organic and amino acids need to be assessed.
Multiple Chemical Sensitivities – In such conditions,
functional nutrient levels are affected, including many of
those involved in cellular respiration. ION can determine
where imbalances occur.

Allergic reactions to foods and inhalants are characterized
by enhanced allergen-specific immunoglobulin serum levels
with activation of immune mediators of inflammation.
Research indicates that food and inhalant allergies are
implicated in a number of health problems. Through ELISA
testing we provide a useful tool with which an individual’s
sensitization to food and inhalant allergens can be
assessed.
STD's Assessment Specials:
STD Standard 3 tests included 199.00
Includes tests:
HSV II: There is a considerable homology between HSV I and
HSV II antigens, so that antibodies formed against either
virus are highly cross-reactive. This assay is based on
purified recombinant G-2 antigen and is specific for type II
antibodies. Moreover, this assay is highly sensitive and
specific and will not detect antibodies to HSV I.
HIV: Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV 1/O/2), the etiologic
agent of the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a
cytopathic retrovirus. This test uses recombinant antigen
sources and detects antibodies by specific immune binding
and subsequent chemiluminescent reaction (ICMA technology).
Sensitivity and specificity of this assay are 100% and 99.9%
respectively. Sera which are repeatedly reactive in two out
of three tests are subject to confirmatory HIV-1 testing by
the Western blot method. Some individuals may be initially
reactive by the preliminary test and negative or
indeterminate by Western blot. This may be caused by other
viral antibodies or autoantibodies which cross react with
the viral antigens although this is rare.
Hepatitis C: Following the development of sensitive and
specific testing for hepatitis B, 90% of post-transfusion
hepatitis is now hepatitis C. A gene product (c100) of
hepatitis C virus (HCV) was isolated and an assay for
anti-HCV developed. The assay detects antibody to a
presumptive togavirus or flavivirus which may be an
etiologic agent of non-A, non-B hepatitis (which may not be
a unitary disease entity).
For blood donors, hepatitis C serology correlates with
surrogate tests for non-A, non-B hepatitis (ALT and anti-HBc).
Since hepatitis C serology identifies a broader group of
infected individuals than surrogate testing, it reduces risk
of HCV during transfusion. Studies in hemophiliacs indicate
that antibody to HCV is a reliable marker of HCV.
STD Comprehensive Package 11 Tests included-460.00
(50% off regular lab)
Fasting Required: No
Specimen: Blood
Tests Included:
Chlamydia/Gonorrhea: Clamydia
trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae are the most common
sexually-transmitted diseases. In 2002, the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention published guidlines for
laboratory testing that emphasized the use of nucleic acid
amplification tests for screening for Chlamydia trachomatis
and also for Neisseria gonorrhoeae when conditions of
transport could compromise viability of the organism.1,2
Other guidelines have recommended Chlamydia screening for
all women 15-25, as well as testing pregnant women during
their first trimester for both Chlamydia and Neisseria. In
some settings, the fact that both Neisseria and Chlamydia
testing can be performed on the same specimen testing for
both can be an effective strategy.
RPR Qualitative: The test is looking
for evidence of Treponema pallidum, the bacterium that
causes syphilis. Syphilis is a common sexually transmitted
disease. It is easily treated but can cause severe health
problems if left untreated.
HIV 1: Human immunodeficiency virus
(HIV 1/O/2), the etiologic agent of the acquired
immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a cytopathic retrovirus.
This test uses recombinant antigen sources and detects
antibodies by specific immune binding and subsequent
chemiluminescent reaction (ICMA technology). Sensitivity and
specificity of this assay are 100% and 99.9% respectively.
Sera which are repeatedly reactive in two out of three tests
are subject to confirmatory HIV-1 testing by the Western
blot method. Some individuals may be initially reactive by
the preliminary test and negative or indeterminate by
Western blot. This may be caused by other viral antibodies
or autoantibodies which cross react with the viral antigens
although this is rare.
HSV I&II: Detect herpes simplex I
and II DNA in clinical specimens; when performed on
cerebrospinal fluid, supports a diagnosis of herpes simplex
encephalitis and herpes simplex meningitis
Hepatitis A Antibody IgM: Hepatitis
A virus is a picornavirus, and antibody is made to capsid
proteins. Fecal excretion of HAV peaks before symptoms
develop. If hepatitis A antibody is IgM, the hepatitis A
infection is probably acute. IgM antibody develops within a
week of symptom onset, peaks in 3 months, and is usually
gone after 6 months. Hepatitis A antibody of IgG type is
indicative of old infection, is found in almost 50% of
adults and is not usually clinically relevant. Many cases of
hepatitis A are subclinical, particularly in children.
Presence of IgG antibody to HAV does not exclude acute
hepatitis B or other forms of hepatitis.
Hepatitis B Core Antibody IgM:
Differential diagnosis of hepatitis; also used in
conjunction with other B viral serologic markers, to assess
the stage of hepatitis B infection. At times this may be the
only demonstrable marker for the diagnosis of current or
past hepatitis B viral infection.
Hepatitis B Surface Antibody: Used
to evaluate possible immunity in individuals who are at
increased risk for exposure to hepatitis B.
Hepatitis B Surface Antigen:
Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is a DNA virus with a protein coat,
the surface antigen (HBsAg) and a nucleic acid core, the
core antigen (HBcAg). There are eight different serotypes.
Early in infection, HBsAg, HBV DNA, and DNA polymerase can
all be detected in serum.
Hepatitis C Antibody: Following the
development of sensitive and specific testing for hepatitis
B, 90% of post-transfusion hepatitis is now hepatitis C. A
gene product (c100) of hepatitis C virus (HCV) was isolated
and an assay for anti-HCV developed. The assay detects
antibody to a presumptive togavirus or flavivirus which may
be an etiologic agent of non-A, non-B hepatitis (which may
not be a unitary disease entity).
For blood donors, hepatitis C serology correlates with
surrogate tests for non-A, non-B hepatitis (ALT and anti-HBc).

Description: Conventional HSV-1 and HSV-2
assays cannot differentiate HSV type 1 from HSV type 2
infection due to the extensive homology of viral antigens.
Antibodies formed against either virus are highly cross
reactive. An HSV-2 type-specific IgG assay based on
glycoprotein G-2 is available for differentiating HSV-1 from
HSV-2 infections.
