Distant Education and Direct Entry Apprenticeship

Direct Entry Distant Learning Apprenticeship- is a form of education that involves theoretical studies, extensive research and discipline while getting hands on clinical/leadership experience and guidance from a selected licensed /ordained/ experienced Preceptor, Mentor/proctor. Depending on the area of studies, the preceptor must possess the required credentials to give apprenticeship training as per the CHY policies. The Talmid will receive a scheduled syllabus of required studies and exams to be passed in order to advance in those studies. The Preceptor is the one who passes or fails the Talmid and gives the yes or no for final examinations given by the Cushite Hebrew Yeshiva. In addition to Distant Education Studies as per Syllabus and Curriculum and the hands on apprenticeship, Talmid may be required to attend Seminars, conferences or meet up groups to further advance their studies in the particular area of focus. Healthcare Talmidim may have the opportunity to do Clinical Rotations in foreign Clinics and Hospitals.

The Programs at the Cushite Hebrew Yeshiva allows students to earn an Certificate, Technical Diploma, Associate, Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate Certification, from Direct Entry Distant learning apprenticeship and readies them to sit for private or  national licensing/certification. Traditionally Holistic health students and Rabbinical talmidim learned at the side of an experienced Rabbi, Priest, Master Teacher of the School of prophets, midwife, Guru, Shaman etc, in an apprenticeship. Our goal with the programs is to support this apprenticeship model of education, and be flexible enough to suit most educational settings:

  • Allowing for flexibility in the myriad of settings in which an apprenticeship takes place and for the individual needs of each student and preceptor.
  • Recognizing the specialized and distinct experience each preceptor brings to the education.
  • Supplying an accredited, standardized comprehensive academic and clinical curriculum to ensure the education/dedication of a competent, confident and effective Leader and/or holistic healthcare provider.

This model of flexible education will produce a more focused, knowledgeable and effective leader and/or Health Care provider as opposed to Schools that offer Study at home “only” with no clinical training or Traditional education that requires 4-6 years education in a classroom setting with maybe 1 ½ years of clinical. Our Education is 4-5 years(or 2-3 years for Associates/Diploma) of non-traditional Distant Education Study accompanied with direct hands on Clinicals/apprenticeship.

Practicing Medicine versus Providing Healing Experts

At Cushite Hebrew Yeshiva, we believe in producing Experts and Master teachers, not practitioners. We practice and experiment with medicine and leadership while in school and education, not in our careers or on people. We Heal and do works of restoration when we are certified and working with the public, whereas other schools teach their doctors and leaders to practice after graduation, thus making them practitioners, not healing medical/leadership experts.

Our Model of Education

Our Educational Ideas are adopted and patterned after the success model of the North American Registry of Midwives. They have produced effective Direct Entry Midwives through various routes of training in order to obtain Certification and are recognized Internationally and by the government. They Parallel the Nurse-Midwives who receive Traditional Nursing Training in addition to Midwifery. However the North American Registry of Mid-wives produce the True concept of effective midwifery, which is traditional births at home or in a holistic birthing center, whereas Nurse-midwives are usually found in hospitals and do not really fit the true definition of a Midwife..

We have chosen to take this model and expand it to the Naturopathic and Traditional Natural/Indigenous Medical Sciences, and Rabbinical and Spiritual leadership training in order to produce a true concept of Spiritual/Cultural/Tribal Leadership or Naturopathic Doctors and Physician to parallel the 4 Year Naturopathic Physician training of the monopolized special interest Naturopathic schools in the USA(about 5 total) which chooses many times to use allopathic medicine(thus causing the true concept of Naturopathic Medicine to be distorted) and promotes the “holier than thou” attitude in the professional practices, or the study at home naturopathic schools who produce good educators but ineffective experts in human diagnosis and healing, thus making them more of herbal salesmen moreso than Healers and Experts.

In the Rabbinical Hebrew concept of training and development, we do not seek to produce "Leaders of Religion", as being Israelite and Hebrew is a Ethnic culture that has ancient roots as a nation of people. Therefore we seek to produce Socio-Spiritual Political Leaders as mandated by the Torah of Moshe to address the political(governments), spiritual, social, economical, family, health and international issues of the Hebrew peoples.

The Direct Entry Model is the perfect model for all types of training skills, including Technical training(farming, preparing the dead, carpentry, electricians, computer techs etc). In this we envision that our Yeshiva will become the Light and Model for other Yeshivas and Indigenous training programs to adopt and pattern themselves after
